Fido releases update schedule for Samsung Milky way Note 9, LG V30 and more
Huawei Mate 20 Pro, Moto E5 Play and more are also set to go updates
Rogers' sub-make Fido has shared the update schedule for several of its devices on its online forum, along with information about how a software update gets to users.
Kickoff up, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro is gear up to get the February security update, with other updates, on March 6th, 2019.
That security patch is besides coming to the LG V30 and G6 on the 6th. The LG G7 One is set up to get the March security patch also, but Fido just notes that it's 'coming soon.'
On March 7th, the Moto E5 Play will go the February security patch.
Further, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will get the February security patch, along with some other unspecified updates on March 11th. The S7 and S7 Border are also prepare to get the February security patch plus other updates on the 11th.
Equally for the update procedure, Fido shared an infographic breaking downward how it works. By and large, both the manufacturer and Fido have to perform several tests to make sure everything is working, then get regulatory confirmation before pushing the rollout.
Fido says it can take anywhere from four weeks to six months to complete that process.
